Do parks, wealth and health correlate?

Research shows that people with greater access to public spaces, such as neighborhood or state parks, are likely to be more physically active, and we can arguably assume have lower rates of obesity. There may also be a relationship between the per capita income of a state and its relative access to parks, as wealthier state's governments are often more involved in the community.

This series of graphs explores the relationship between these data points, including where obesity issues are concentrated in the states. All data is based on figures from 2012.
